Full Design Service — from £1,000
For a whole house, a set of rooms, or a holiday let being brought up to standard. I take it from the first survey through to the day the furniture arrives: concept and colour, layouts and lighting, a full specification, sourcing and ordering, and liaison with your builder, joiner or architect.
The fee depends on the number of rooms and how much of the buying and coordinating you want me to handle. I’ll give you a fixed figure after the first visit, not an hourly rate that creeps.
Design Consultation — £250
Two hours at your house, working through whatever is stuck. Colour, layout, lighting, or which of three sofas is the right one. You’ll get straight answers on what to spend money on and what to leave alone, followed by written notes with paint, fabric and supplier recommendations.
If you go on to a full project, the consultation fee comes off the first invoice.
How a project runs
01 — A conversation
Twenty minutes on the phone, free. The house, the rooms that aren’t working, roughly what you want to spend. If I’m not the right person for the job, I’ll say so.
02 — Site visit
I walk the rooms, measure, photograph and ask a lot of questions about how you actually live in the house.
03 — Concept
Scheme, colour, materials and layout options, with real samples you can hold and carry round the house at different times of day.
04 — Specification
The detail: drawings, finishes, a lighting plan and a costed product list — clear enough to hand straight to a builder, or to order from yourself.
05 — Sourcing and install
Ordering, delivery tracking, coordinating trades, and being there on install day to put it together properly.
