This site is run by Eleanor Whichello Interiors, a sole trader based in Box, Corsham, Wiltshire. This page explains what personal information is collected here, why, and what your rights are. It is written to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who is responsible for your data
Eleanor Whichello, trading as Eleanor Whichello Interiors, is the data controller. You can reach me at [email protected] about anything on this page.
What I collect, and why
When you use the enquiry form I collect your name, email address, and — if you choose to give them — your phone number, project postcode, project type, timescale, how you heard about me, and whatever you write in the message box.
I use this only to reply to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to run your project. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing me.
Server logs. My hosting provider records IP addresses and basic request information automatically as part of running the server securely. The lawful basis is legitimate interest — keeping the site available and protecting it from attack.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are served from this site’s own server rather than a third party, so viewing a page does not share your details with anyone else. A strictly necessary cookie may be set if you log in to the site or submit the form, which does not require consent under the PECR rules.
Who else sees your information
Enquiries are stored in this website’s database, hosted by Hostinger, and emailed to me at my own domain address. I do not sell your details, and I do not pass them to anyone else for marketing. Suppliers or trades involved in your project are told only what they need to do their work, and only once you are a client.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after two years. Records relating to actual projects are kept for six years after the work finishes, which is the period HMRC requires for business records.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to how I am using it. Email me and I will respond within one month, as the law requires.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
