Fifteen years designing interiors, most of it in and around Wiltshire, Bath and the Cotswolds.
I work on period houses, new builds that need warming up, holiday lets, and the occasional small commercial space — a consulting room, a shop, a café. Some projects are a whole house over two years. Others are one room that has never quite worked and has been bothering somebody for a decade.
I’m not precious. I’d rather find the right second-hand chest of drawers than specify something expensive for the sake of it, and I’ll always tell you where a budget is better spent elsewhere. If a room needs rewiring more than it needs new curtains, I’ll say so — even though curtains are the more enjoyable conversation.
How I work
Most of my work comes from people I’ve worked with before, or their neighbours. That shapes how I run a project: no surprises, no stage you haven’t agreed to before it starts, and a clear answer when you ask what something will cost.
I listen to how a house is actually used before suggesting anything. Where the post lands, who cooks, which room nobody ever sits in and why. The answers are usually more useful than any mood board.
Where I work
I’m based in Box, between Bath and Corsham, and take projects within roughly 35 miles — most of Wiltshire, the edge of Somerset, Bristol and the southern Cotswolds. Further afield for the right project.
