Corsham, Wiltshire
A handsome Bath stone house on the edge of Corsham whose inside and outside had never really been introduced. The interiors were resolved first — bedrooms kept restrained so the stone mullions and the view do the talking — and the terrace followed.
The pool area had the bones of something good and none of the comfort. Carved stone balustrading, proper outdoor seating and planting that softens the hard landscaping turned it from a space you walked past into the one everybody uses from May onwards.
